Park District Policies

OOPS!

Our staff has made every effort to prepare our brochure and website materials as accurately as possible; however, errors can occur. Circumstances may require that adjustments be made to programs, fees, schedules, etc. The District reserves the right to make any such adjustments and apologizes for any inconvenience these errors or adjustments may cause.

Equal Fun For Everyone

  2. Participants must refrain from using foul language or discussing inappropriate topics
  3. Participants must show respect for equipment, supplies, and facilities
  4. Crete Park District staff reserves the right to dismiss participants whose behavior is unacceptable, threatens or endangers others or themselves

Proof of Residency

Proof of residency must accompany all registrations. This includes one of the following:

  • Home address imprinted on check
  • Drivers license
  • OR Voters registration card.

Nonresident Pass

Who is a Nonresident to Crete Park District and what is a Nonresident Pass?

Crete Park District is comprised of the Village of Crete only. Crete Township, Monee, Steger and Beecher are not included and do not pay taxes to the Crete Park District. (To confirm your residency, you must check your tax bill or your voters registration card. Crete Park District does have a map of all homes within the District and can help you!) The Nonresident Pass was designed for those who participate in several of the District programs but do not live inside the District. Nonresident fees are approximately one and a half times the Resident fee for most programs and will add up quickly. If you purchase the Nonresident pass, you receive all of the benefits of a Crete Park District Resident and pay Resident rates.

How much does it cost?

The fee is $175 for 1 year. (Your pass will expire one year from the purchase date!)

Where do I buy my pass?

The staff at the Crete Park District office, 515 First Street in Crete, can help you with the purchase.

Vandalism

Vandalism on any Park District property will incur a fine of $75 to $750. Please call 911 if you witness someone vandalizing a park.

Memorial Tree Program

The Memorial Tree Program was developed by the Crete Park District as a means of remembering loved ones, friends, or special events. Persons or organizations can donate money for the purchase of a tree to be planted or a bench to be placed in a park. For details, please call us at 672-6969.

We love parents, but...

With your child's best interest in mind, parents are asked not to attend their child's class unless invited by the instructor. The quality of instruction has often been affected by parent and/or sibling distractions. It is of equal importance that children have quality time with their peers. Our instructors welcome the opportunity to discuss concerns with parents before or after class, time permitting.
